Transit Visa for Seamen

Visa for Seamen allows you to stay a maximum of five days in the Schengen area, prior to travelling onwards to a country located outside the borders of the Schengen area.

Dear Applicants, Travel Agents and Representatives, please view the revised visa fee and service charges applicable :

The above mentioned Visa Fees is to be paid only by cash.

Note: Exemption of Visa Fee for a child is applicable only in the case of Short Term category, only when the child is under six years of age.

BLS International Service charge

Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of ILS 69. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

  • The applicable Visa Fee in New Israeli Shekel is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice
  • The fee is non-refundable

Please note: with effect from 04 August 2016 as per instruction received from The Consulate General of Spain, "Checklist" needs to be duly filled in by the Applicant/Travel Agent/Authorized representative and needs to submit along with the Visa Application. Please note it's mandatory to provide the same and is applicable for all Jerusalem.

Please follow the below mentioned points:

  • The checklist must be submitted on back to back format only (without back to back copies being stapled to each other).
  • Application form must be filled by a Blue Ink or online filled printed form is applicable only.

Application Form: Application for Schengen Visa.

Original Application form for Schengen Visa duly filled in and signed by the applicant in blue ball point ink. A recent photograph (35-45 mm) of the applicant with white background must be attached on the application form. The application form must be correctly filled, facilitating all the possible information requested in the form including postal address, email address and telephone number.

The application can be submitted personally or by an authorized person at the BLS International Services centre; or at the Consulate General of Spain (subject to prior appointment)

If the application is being submitted directly at The Consulate General of Spain in Jerusalem, then the visa must be paid in cash on the day of application.

Passport of the applicant with at least two blank pages, which should be valid for at least three months after the duration of intended stay. This document should have been issued in the last ten (10) years. Photocopy of all the pages of the present passport must be submitted. Submission of all old passports is mandatory. Incase if applicant has lost old passport then he/she can submit copy of complaint lodged with Police or for any other reason of not submitting it he/she can provide a covering letter mentioning the reason for the same.

“Anejo II: Impreso para marinos en Transito sujetos a la obligación de visados” issued by “El puesto fronterizo del puerto” duly filled and stamped by the competent authorities.

Original letter from the shipping agents in Spain.

Continuous discharge book and photocopy of the same.

Flight reservations.

Authorization form signed in original by the applicant, in favour of BLS International Services

  • To submit the application on behalf of the applicant.
  • To receive any notification issued by the Consulate General of Spain.
  • To collect the passport on behalf of the applicant.

In case of minors, this form must be signed by both the parents.

If the applicant is not a national of Israe, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal or the Maldives, a proof of his/her legal residence in any of these countries (Residence permit).

For Family visa applications applicants are requested to submit proof of family relations with the principal applicant as an additional document with the visa application, for example

For Spouse - Marriage certificate

For Children - Birth certificate

BLS will accept a photocopy of the document after verifying with the original at the time of submission. In case if you are unable to present an original, kindly submit the photocopy of the same legalized before a Notary public. (This requirement is only applicable for West and South jurisdiction as per The Consulate General of Spain, Jerusalem)

With regards to the documents submitted with the visa application such as the Marriage certificate and Birth certificate of family visa applications, documents only in English language or translated to Spanish will be acceptable for all files.

Kindly note that if the documents are in any regional language, they must be translated to English or Spanish by any language institute with official stamp and signature of the translation institute/agency.

Documents in regional languages such as Marriage certificate and Birth certificate will not be acceptable.

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

  • Two recent colour passports, size of photographs(45mm x 35mm) full face and taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
  • It must be clear and show the face focused.
  • Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
  • Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
  • Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from The Consulate General of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days (It may delay depending on case to case).

All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.

Kindly note if application submitted in Satellite centre, it may take up to 48-72 hours in transit to Jerusalem. All the applications received from Satellite centers will be sent to The Consulate General of Spain on next working day

Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.

Applicants submitting the applications towards The Consulate General of Spain in Jerusalem with short processing time will be required to fill up the Declaration form.
